FlocBot is developed by a multidisciplinary team combining water treatment expertise, engineering, software, and direct utility collaboration. We build practical tools that help treatment plants reduce manual work, strengthen decision-making, and better understand their treatment performance.

Josh Kates

Co-founder of FlocBot, leading software, data, and product development. Josh builds the platform that turns RoboJar testing data into clear, operator-ready process insight — from the analysis pipeline to the tools plants rely on day to day. He brings an engineering background and hands-on research experience in instrumentation and data analysis.

Hugh McCurren

Co-Founder

Hugh McCurren

Co-founder of FlocBot, focused on hardware, plant integration, and customer relationships. Hugh leads development of the physical FlocBot system and how it fits into real treatment environments, working directly with the plants and operators FlocBot is built for. He brings an environmental engineering background and a field-oriented understanding of water treatment.
